The scent of your wedding day

When thinking about your looks for your wedding day the first thing mostly pops up first is how your dress or outfit will look like.

You might fantasize about picking the right dress in the store, maybe with friends or family to join. Then you imagine the right hairstyle and makeup that compleets the look, possibly with inspiration images. Not to forget the choice of jewelry. All is thought about to look and feel good but somehow a fragrance is the last and least thing that is considered to be important.

I speak from my own personal experiences with brides. Something on the shelf, or a fragrance used often is grabbed or sometimes even forgotten.

In a few cases there was thought about the meaning of the right fragrance for the wedding day. So what is that meaning that sounds so important? Off course I am not speaking for everyone. Not all find a perfume or eau the toilette essential.

The thing is:

Scent is emotion. It can elevate your style, your mood and become part of a precious memory. It’s the finishing unseen touch that compleets your look of that day. A fragrance aura that is part of your being.

Now it’s up to you to decide what your scent is. It might be something you already use and means a lot to you but it can be also an exiting search for something new. Something that fits the description of you, your relationship and even choice of location.

To go even deeper you can make it a self-care, fragrance ritual. Layering of the same fragrance products can be very soothing (especially when bitt stressed)

So start with that calming good smelly shower, follow up with the bodylotion to wrap yourself in nice smelling goodness and as last step accessorize your body with the eau the parfum or eau the toilette.

How to choose your fragrance when there are so many?

Some tips:

-Choose one from your favorite brand.

-Always try on your skin to know if it fits you like you want.

-Don’t go for what sells the best. It might be less special.

-Do some research about the type of scent you’re looking for. Like fresh, gourmand, spicy or floral.

Brands to check when it comes to diversity and make scent layering possible:

Jo Malone

Le Labo

Chanel

Guerlain

Dior

Byredo

So have fun choosing and trying!
